The double page spread draft is typical of conventions to real magazine articles, the house colour style is sticking to white, red and black as it is modern, simple and sticks to linking with the front cover. I think that the draft is only a basic outline of how the final product will look as the Photoshopping will change the design in many ways after editng. Using the double page spread conventions of real magazines (the ones that I ahev analysed on Flickr) I will make my magazines spread be effective of having the most common conventions, like a main image, body text that is separated by gutters so there is an chronological order and the text dosent overwhelm the reader, or even just appear unreadable because of lack of tidiness, also a sidebar so that the readers can relate to the story and so the magazine has more personal involvence with the readers and a kicker under a headline. The pull quotes and kicker make the article more appealing, as the reader as a head-start that attracts them to reading the rest of the article. The topic of the article is based on the stereo-type of 'Indie' that I have targeted for my magazine, the topic is important as the readers can relate to the story and have a personal level with the magazine rather than reading something they don't feel involved in.
